ABOUT THE ROLE

An Ecommerce Merchandiser is a professional responsible for creating an effective merchandising strategy for an online retail store. This includes managing product inventory, pricing, promotional campaigns, and ensuring that the store’s website is visually appealing and user-friendly.

The primary goal of an Ecommerce Merchandiser is to increase sales and maximize profits by using data-driven insights to make informed decisions about product placement and promotion. This involves analyzing customer behavior and preferences, tracking sales trends, and working with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creating content for all online products, ensuring they are listed effectively
  • Presenting products visually across various platforms
  • Ensuring all products are correctly categorized, priced and promotions are working
  • Reviewing all product details and pricing, supporting content in line with company marketing
  • Influencing online marketing activity based on product performance, analysis, and/or stock levels
  • Monitoring the performance of the website content interaction, making recommendations to increase product engagement
  • Reporting on weekly trade performance and making changes to website product content based on this
  • Operational support: Provides memos/communication visibility to operations of key events.
  • Administrative: Assists team in maintaining calendar and scheduling brand development

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education Requirements: Certificate or Diploma in IT/ICT/BIT required
  • Computer literate and understanding of basic web technologies
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms: The candidate should have experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or Woocommerce. They should be able to manage product listings, inventory, and shipping information on these platforms.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and Strong organizational skills

Salary will be offered according to the experience:

  • Rs.35,000 + Allowance (Must have 1 Yr. E-commerce/online retail experience)
  • Rs.30000 + Allowance (Trainees)
